Sparsha Trust New Project-Nisarga Grama
Sparsha Trust is planning to establish a self-sustained shelter and rehabilitation centre- NISARGA GRAMA for 1000 children (In the first phase we are planning for 400 – 500 children). These children are from various walks of life, which have been denied of basic necessities and education.
NISARGA GRAMA aims to bring these children into quality rehabilitation center, providing them with food , accommodation, medical care and last but not the least EDUCATION. These initiatives will help the children to identify their potential, develop their passion in becoming responsible citizens of the country.
Vision : To create a society, free of exploitation of children and help children manifest their inherent potential and talents.
Mission: To create an eco-friendly and self-sustained shelter (Nisarga Grama) for 1000 deprived children by 2015 in Bangalore.
Aims and Objectives :
1 Eradicating child labour system.
2. Helping children enjoy constitutional rights.
3. Providing quality education for underprivileged children.
4. Creating awareness about available government schemes.
PLAN FOR ACTIVITIES : Phase 1 – To obtainfunds to acquire about 2 to 3 acres of land with greenery and water resources Time schedule – Sept 2012 to June 2013. (Already 1.5 acres of land is identified for Nisarga Grama near Hesaragatta Bangalore.)
Phase 2 – Developing infrastructure that contains class rooms, accommodation for boys and girls, meditation room, cow shed, vegetable farm, solar and gober gas plants . Time schedule – June 2013 to Mar 2014.
Phase 3-To provide facility such as food, accommodation, water, cloths, medical care, educational activities and vocational skills etc. Time schedule –Mar 2014-onwards
BUDGET : Phase 1 – Land acquisition (2 to 5 acres)-About Rs 60 – 70 lakhs Phase 2 – Construction of basic infrastructure – About Rs 70 – 80 lakhs.
How you can be a team member
*By being a volunteer to raise funds for purchase of land, by providing building materials such as sand, bricks, wood, soil, cement or any other construction material free of cost or at a subsidized rate .
* By providing solar or Bio- gas unit or any other material. Sponsoring food, cloth, educational materials,training materials required for 1000 children.
* To bring children into shelter by vehicles such as buses, mini buses, van, jeep, from our feeding centers, communities, streets , CWC and police.
* By being a volunteer to take up any work of your choice.
* You can even Sponsor a child/children in our centers by taking care of all their requirements to a tune of Rs 18,000 to Rs 20,000 a year
* Request you to kindly permit us 30 mts to 1 hour, at your convenience, in your office to explain about this noble cause and you can refer kind hearted people.
